Jam Festival

Wide selection: The Jam Festival in Penrith

Fine Cut, Medium or Thick. What sounds like cuts for fine steaks
are different qualities for British orange jam.
The English are crazy about their sweet and bitter spread - but also other citrus fruits - bergamot, lemon or mandarin - are served.

In Penrith, a community in North West England, near the Lake District National Park, the Marmalade Award takes place every year.
A competition for the best jam with participants from all over the world.

The participants present their best creations to the audience and jury at Landhaus Delemain: There will be tastings, lectures, cooking shows and a teatime - with marmalade and clotted cream, of course - in a historic ambience.

And while the best jam is chosen in the country house, the big festival Penrith goes Orange takes place in the centre of the city:
The whole town is decorated in orange, there is music and dance, magicians and storytellers as well as food stands - of course also with orange jam.
