Full and juicy they are. Dark red and sugary sweet: the famous cherries of Lovran, which ripen at the foot of the Učka Mountains.
In mid-June, the historic climatic health resort and seaside resort on the Kvarner coast becomes a pilgrimage site for cherry lovers: during the annual Cherry Days.

For a whole week, the inhabitants of Lovran offer their guests juicy cherries, cherry pie and numerous other regionally typical cherry dishes in the squares of the old town, cafés and restaurants.
The festival begins in the festively decorated main square with the presentation and tasting of a 20-meter-long cherry strudel made of wafer-thin puff pastry. Folklore and music groups frame the spectacle.
