Ten different species of fish can be fished in the 41-hectare Brennsee, which is up to 26 metres deep - or enjoyed at one of the many restaurants on the shore.
Especially in mid-July, when the community in the Nockerbergen mountains invites you to the fish festival. Then the market place of the village becomes an open show kitchen where local hero Marco Krain invites you to a show cooking.

Original dishes such as Steckerlfisch or fish lasagne are created and served with a fish wine specially vinified for the festival: A Cuvée Feld from the Walter Skoff winery in Gamlitz. Local fishermen will demonstrate how to smoke fish, the local traditional costume group will provide the atmosphere, and go-karts, a bouncy castle and a giant slide will be available for the children.
