Formerly a fishing village, today yachts and small dinghies anchor at the harbour of Crikvenica. However, the inhabitants of the tourist town on the Kvarner coast are still aware of their traditions.
This is shown by the Fishing Week, which has been celebrated every year in high summer since 1966.

In addition to concerts, theatrical performances and popular performances, the event also focuses on traditional fish dishes, such as mussels and octopus during the night.
There will also be sailing regattas and free panoramic boat trips. A midnight fireworks display closes the festival.
