On the Luxembourg Moselle, in the so-called Miselerland, it is mainly single-varietal, dry white wines - Rivaner and Elbling ,but also Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer - that are pressed. Grevenmacher is the center of vine cultivation, which was already practiced here in Roman times.

The wine village is also the location of the largest culinary folk festival in Luxembourg: the Grevenmacher Grape and Wine Festival. The start and highlight is the enthronement of the new Luxembourg Wine Queen by the Vinsmoselle Cooperative Wineries - followed by an evening of dancing until early in the morning.

Saturday is then marked by the show band parade at the Schweinemarkt, where a glass of "Cuvée de la reine" or a cool "Crémant" can be tasted at many stalls.
During the festivities, bands of various musical genres play until late at night and around ten o'clock, a big fireworks display is set off on the banks of the Moselle.

Another highlight of the Grape and Wine Festival is the folkloric parade on Sunday with its approximately 40 festively decorated floats and music groups.
The newly crowned monarch also parades through the streets and alleys of the winegrowing village in a colorfully decorated honorary carriage.
