Nut Festival

Krummnussbaum: The name of the market town, which was already settled in Neolithic times, probably comes from the crooked walnut trees along the fishing huts that once characterised the place.
Even today, the resourceful inhabitants create a variety of enjoyable products from the trees, which they present to visitors during the nut festival.

Nut liqueur and nut spreads, nut oil, chutney or beer. In pancakes, in cream soup or as pesto: at the annual nut festival, the inhabitants of Krummnußbaum show what delicacies can be made from the closed fruit.

Highlights of the festival are the first tasting of the vintage liqueur and the election of the nut princess followed by a traditional costume show.
The event is framed by performances by local bands, most of whom play traditional, hearty music, Dirndlball and Frühschoppen on Sunday.
