Pizza is probably the most popular dish in Italian cuisine worldwide. Yet the round pizza was hardly known in Italy - apart from Naples - until the last 70 years.
It goes without saying that the best pizza in the world is baked in the Campania metropolis. They prove this impressively during the Napoli Pizza Village festival week.

Under the patronage of the President of the Republic, the World Pizza Championships are held at the Stadio della Pizza - in eight different disciplines.
There are also several sectors (NPV) in which pizzas are prepared under a specific motto.

In the NPV class, the masters initiate the audience into the fine art of preparing a classic Neapolitan pizza, and in the NPV Preview, famous pizza chefs create exclusive, sometimes crazy creations that may be trendy tomorrow.

There is also a sector for children, where the young participants are playfully taught the art of pizza baking.
In addition to the culinary delights, art and music play a major role during the festival: well-known bands, comedians, street artists or musicians create a great atmosphere on the promenade at 9 pm on three days.
