Scheidegg in Winter


Scheidegg, situated at an altitude of 600 to 1000 metres
, is famous for its Kneipp cures and the spicy mountain cheese, which is still produced here - on the edge of the Allgäu Cheese Road - by the alpine dairies.

 


Visitors of the Scheidegger Cheese Weeks can see for themselves the quality of Berg-, Bockshornklee- and Bärlauchkäse cheese.
Hikes to the alpine dairies, cooking courses, but also workshops are organised to learn how cheese is made.

Cheese Selection at the Scheidegger Cheese Weeks

 

The restaurants in the area also take part in the event and offer special cheese menus. The local breweries will also invite you to taste the local beer specialities.
