Fine plum brandy, Williams Edelbrand or fruity raspberry brandy: around 90 different brandies are brewed in Stanz near Landeck in Tyrol - and many of them have won prizes and awards.
Especially from the local Stanzer Zwetschke, the distillers create much-praised specialities.

Visitors can find out how the sun-ripened fruit is turned into a high-proof digestif through distillation during the annual Stanz burns! event: numerous schnapps distilleries in the municipality open their doors at the beginning of September and invite visitors to tastings and show distillery.

There are not only brandies and liqueurs to taste, but also jams or chutneys, plum roast from the wild plum Spänling or the famous Stanzer Zwetschkenkuchen. Bands play on three festival stages and a farmers' market presents other regional specialities.
