A botany professor lecturing on the intelligence of plants. A chef dehydrating caviar from sturgeon. Winegrowers presenting their finest wines: The Culinary Art Festival Eat & Meet in Salzburg takes its guests on a culinary voyage of discovery in around 150 events.

More than 50 cafés, bars and restaurants - from cosy inns to gourmet restaurants - take part in the event every year.
The chefs let us look over their shoulders at work in workshops, stroll with the participants through the Grünmarkt and give shopping tips or serve - in a large group - selected delicacies.

A highlight of the four-week event is the Genussmarkt: Selected producers from all over Austria present their delicacies such as cheese, wine, pesto or olive oil over one weekend. There is also a seedling market for the first time and of course visitors can also taste many of the delicacies.
