The makers of the food festival "Kulinarisk Sydfyn" in the Danish town of Svendborg on the island of Funen are primarily concerned with raising awareness of healthy, artisan food from the region.
At the festival, local producers invite visitors to taste, feast and enjoy for two days

In addition to growing fruit and vegetables, many innovative farms are dedicated to the production of cheese, sausage, ice cream, chocolate, beer and even wine ­ all based on local raw materials.

 

There are also cooking classes for children and adults and workshops on healthy eating.
One of the many highlights of the festival is the Danish BBQ Championship.
The winner will represent the northern neighbour at the upcoming BBQ World Championship.
