At the largest wine festival in Franconia in Volkach, the winegrowers of the area show what they've got. And they get active support from the innkeepers of the pretty municipality.

The festival site with around 7,000 seats is usually completely booked during the four-day event.
In addition to Silvaner or Müller-Thurgau, festival visitors enjoy fried fish or Franconian bratwursts, or listen to the live performances of the music groups and brass bands.
For children there are make-up activities, a carousel or a juggler show. A highlight of the festival is the big council fireworks.

Of course, wine on the Mainschleife is not only celebrated in Volkach. As early as June, the wine taverns in Nordheim invite visitors to the wine season - with delicious wines, traditional food and music.
And in Astheim, the Carthusian Wine Festival takes place.
From mid-September to mid-November, wine lovers meet every Saturday for the Weinherbst in Eschendorf - famous for its privileged Lump vineyard.
