For 70 years, Ingelheim has been celebrating the Red Wine Festival in front of the historic backdrop of the Gothic fortified church - with fairground rides, amusement and food stands.
The stars of the event, however, are the vintners, who present the latest and best red, white and rosé wines, seccos and sparkling wines from Ingelheim's vineyards.

The festival opens with the coronation of the new red wine queen at the market square, where the regent distributes Ingelheim wine to all subjects present.
A red wine tasting with the head of the city is part of the programme, as is an economic service.

There will be live music on three stages during the ten days: rock, pop, hits or oldies.
In addition, the organisers have organised clown performances for children and a special chill zone just for young people.
The festival ends with a fireworks display on the Burgberg.
