Röttinger Wine Festival

Röttinger wine princesses

The Franconian town of Röttingen cultivates about 30 hectares of wine. In addition to the classics such as Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner and Scheurebe, the Tauberschwarz is also cultivated - a centuries-old local grape variety that is only cultivated in the Tauber region.
These, but also many other Franconian wines, can be tasted by visitors to the annual wine festival.

The local winegrowers offer numerous culinary specialities and a varied entertainment programme distributed in the town centre - on the market square and comfortably in the barns and courtyards of the winegrowers.
The programme also includes musical entertainment, a flea market, children's make-up and dancing.

Hike in the museum vineyard Röttingen

An entertaining and merry highlight is the „Buttenlauf“ on Whit Monday. The local wine museum is also open to the public. And who likes to take a walk in the Feuerstein: The vineyard, which has been developed into a museum vineyard, documents the development of viticulture up to the 1950s on an area of 1800 square metres with three parcels.
