From Friuli, Umbria, Liguria or Sicily: Olio Capitale in Trieste brings together olive oil producers from 13 regions of Italy, Croatia and Greece.
Around 222 producers will take part in the fair and present 303 olive oil.

At the beginning of the two-day event, a jury of experts will award prizes to the best of them, but visitors can also taste various olive oils in the oil bar with expert advice.#

In a workshop, star chef Emanuele Scarello will show how olive oil can be used in many different ways in the kitchen.
Recipes will be presented and tasted - with a glass of wine, of course. The event will be rounded off with specialist lectures on olive oil.
