Open Cellars

Good wine, good music and good atmosphere - this is the recipe for success of Italy's biggest wine event Cantine Aperte. Every year, the open day attracts millions of visitors from all over the country to the wine cellars from north to south.
Around 900 winegrowers take part in the mega-event, 15 of them in the Aosta Valley, the smallest region of the country.

In addition to wine specialities such as the Donnas (Nebbiolo grape), the Torrette (Petit Rouge) or the Nus Malvoisie, there are also delicious DOP cheese classics Fontina and Toma di Gressoney, fine Lardo d'Arnad or the popular DOP raw ham Jambon de Bosses.

Local wines and products are also the focus of the Cantina Aperte in the other 19 Italian regions - Tuscany or Piedmont, Veneto or Friuli, Puglia or Sicily.
