Gipskeupermergel on the edge of the Steigerwald ensures that the wines grown here are of special quality. Already in the 13th century the vineyards Schwanleite and Küchenmeister are mentioned in documents.
Much younger, but also worth mentioning is the Rödelsee wine festival.

For four days the winegrowers of the region around Crailsheim Castle present their top wines.
The event will be opened by the Rödelsee wine princess. During the festive days there is plenty of opportunity to taste one of the many wines - with atmospheric music.
