Tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, bread, wild asparagus and mint: these seven ingredients are used in El Burgo, on the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves, traditionally to cook the poor people's dish, the Sopa de los siete Ramales.

The pretty village with its typical white tiled houses invites to a soup festival in February - with a lot of music and dancing, a craft market, guided tours through the community and of course soup for all participants.
