Bitter-sweet pleasure: On the Route du Cidre en Cornouaille

Cider has been produced in the former Breton kingdom of Cornouaille since the 14th century. Since 2000, the cider from the department of Finistère has been awarded the title of "Protected Designation of Origin". Its particularity is the interplay of sweet and bitter apple varieties from which it is made and which sets Cornouaille cider apart from other terroirs.
The Cornouaille Apple Route takes visitors to 16 cideries that offer an insight into traditional production methods and invite visitors to taste. Architectural gems await to the left and right of the path, such as medieval Locronan with its Renaissance houses. Or charming historic gardens such as the Jardin Chateau de Lanniron, the Jardin du prieuré de Locmaria or the parc botanique de Cornouaille.

Bodegas and distilleries: The route of sherry and brandy

The south of Andalusia, the triangle between Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Rota and Jerez, is home to two of Spain's most famous products: sherry and brandy. For centuries, wine has been grown here, on more than 7000 hectares, and processed in the cellars.
Along the route of the same name, which passes countless bodegas, you can find out about the process. For example at the Bodega Gonzalez Byass in Jerez de la Frontera. Once there, you can also visit the Spanish Riding School. Or you can enjoy an authentic flamenco performance. There are also natural beauties like the Laguna de Medina to admire.

Brewer meets winegrower: The South Styrian Wine Route

Vines as far as the eye can see. In between, fields of pumpkin that glow orange in autumn - or apple trees in a row: The South Styrian Wine Route leads through a cultural landscape that is worth a visit at any time of the year - you can walk through it, explore it comfortably by bike or Segway.
Along the route, the winegrowers invite you to visit their cellars - and depending on the season, there are various events such as herb walks, wine festivals or artists' markets. A speciality of the region is the cultivation of hops: a very special vintage pilsner is brewed from it.
