Cheese and Gourmet Festival in Lindenberg
From mild to spicy and from lean to full-cream - more than 100 different types of cheese are produced by hand by dairy farmers in the Allgäu region.
The region is considered the cheese kitchen of Germany.
Just the right place, then, for a meeting of the best cheese producers from all over Europe.
In addition to producers from the direct neighboring countries of Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands, producers from Italy, Spain and Hungary also come to the municipality in Western Allgäu and bring their cheese specialties.
Combination tastings of cheese and other gourmet products are on the program, as well as a show dairy, where those interested can learn how cheese is made from milk, or talk sessions with cheese experts.
And in Club Noir, visitors can train their taste buds in complete darkness.
