One of the most beautiful events during the Palatinate Chestnut Days is the Edenkoben Wine and Chestnut Market.
Against the historic backdrop of Villa Ludwigshöhe Castle - the summer residence of Bavarian King Ludwig I - shielded by the mighty crowns of numerous chestnut trees, the market attracts numerous interested visitors.

The market vendors' offerings range from roasted chestnuts, chestnut bread, chestnut flour, chestnut noodles, chestnut sausage, chestnut stomachs, chestnut honey, chestnut liqueur, to chestnut beer and much more.

 

There is also chestnut wood furniture, flooring and wooden art such as earrings and brooches.
And of course Palatinate wine, Federweisser and fresh grape juice.
