The area around the towns of Thaur and Absam is often called "Austria's largest vegetable garden". 60 percent of all radishes grown in Austria and many other vegetables are cultivated here.
The harvest is celebrated at the annual radish festival at Stiftsplatz with music, local delicacies and, of course, radishes.
