International Cider and Perry Competition

Apple Blossom in Herefordshire

Herefordshire is the centre of English cider production: the county produces around 230 million litres of cider annually - 60 per cent of the UK's annual production.
During apple blossom, hundreds of thousands of trees bathe the countryside in a sea of pink and white colours, and the annual Cider and Perry competition also takes place.

Cider Museum in Hereford

The venue is the Cider Museum in Hereford.
It shows exhibits from the 350-year history of fruit growing in the county and explains vividly how cider and perry are made from apples and pears.

from Great Britain and overseas take part in the contest. A winner will be determined in twelve different categories - including dry, medium and sweet, bottle fermentation - from which an overall winner will then be chosen.
