O Grove Seafood Festival
During the Seafood Festival of O Grove, more than 200,000 portions of seafood are eaten: grilled langoustines, scallops au gratin or the Galician national dish pulpo a feira, octopus in olive oil.
But oysters, lobsters or the precious duck scallops also sell like hot cakes.
The feast will be accompanied by a competition for the most delicious seafood dish, traditional Galician music and workshops on fishing and aquaculture. Topped off, of course, with Galician white wine.
A highlight of the festivities is the outdoor sculpture symposium: sculptors from different countries create themes of independent works.
Only their material, the famous Galician granite, is specified. A month earlier - at the beginning of September - a seafood festival is held in Vigo.
