Poznan Food Days

Nalewka stand at the Poznan Food Days

Who distils the best Nalewka? Who cooks the best pirogi or is the fastest waiter in the country?
The Poznan Food Days provide answers to these questions. The festival - the result of a competition for the best fruit-flavoured vodka in Poland - attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the centre of Wielkopolska's capital.

100 colourful food stands fill the market square and invite visitors to try them out. And for those who want to expand their culinary knowledge, there are a number of workshops such as cooking with herbs or game and special cooking courses for children.
Every evening concerts take place on the stage - jazz, world music and folk are the styles most frequently heard.

Tastings are also organised - of Polish cider or ham from the regional pig breed Zlotnicka.
Culinary competitions, signing sessions by cookbook authors, discussions and film screenings accompany the festival every year.
