Stand with local specialities at the Trøndelag Food & Beer Festival


Craft beer, cheese, stockfish or cloudberries: Trondelag is Norway's pantry
. And Trondheim is the culinary capital of the region.
At the fish market in Ravnkloa you can try shellfish or mussels depending on the season. Or taste fresh vegetables, berries, jam or bread in the market hall opened in 2015.

The whole wealth of the region, which was already populated thousands of years ago, is presented at the annual Food & Beer Festival.
Every August, around 150 exhibitors - farmers and fishermen, cheese-makers and brewers - come from the region to the city at the mouth of the Nidelva and transform the square at Kongens Gate into a large „Food Mile“.

The beer stands are popular - in Trondelag there are more than 20 small breweries that still produce by hand.
Or those who serve coffee: Trondheim is also a stronghold of coffee roasting.

Cooking show at the Trøndelag Food & Beer Festival


In addition to the product show of local and regional food, cooking courses, show cooking and a musical entertainment programme attract around 200,000 visitors every year to Norway's largest food festival.
