The Cous Cous Festival in San Vito Lo Capo is not only a culinary folk festival, but also an intercultural festival that brings people from different cultures together.
The small balls of durum wheat semolina are the glue that unites the participants from five continents.
As part of the annual events, the Cous Cous World Championship takes place: Chefs from Brazil, Senegal, Italy or Israel present their creations to the jury, which is made up of visitors to the festival and an international group of chefs and trade journalists.
At the House of Couscous, participants can try recipes from all over the world.
Or they can try their hand at making couscous themselves and then prepare their own dishes in the cooking school.
In the evening, there will be live shows with international musicians and free admission.
