13 local Normandy products bear the PDO seal as a sign of controlled origin: cheeses such as the nutty Camembert, the spicy Livarot or the strong Pont-l`Eveque.
Salted butter from d'Isigny, salted lambs from Mont-Saint-Michel and, last but not least, Calvados, Cidre as well as Pommeau and Poiré Domfront: sparkling, slightly alcoholic drinks made from apple or pear juice, which people in the region like to drink as digestifs.

At the end of April, farmers, cheese-makers and distillers from all over Normandy come to the tranquil town of Cambremer.
In the green hinterland between Caen and Le Havre, the apple trees from which the famous Cru Cambremer is made blossom.
During the festival of AOC products, visitors get an insight into the production of cheese, cider or calvados over two days and can taste the products extensively or take them home.

Guided walks through the cultural landscape bathed in a sea of white blossoms are on the programme, as are games for children and musical performances. Chefs from the renowned Disciples d`Escoffier will also show what haute cuisine  can conjure up from apples, cider and apple brandy.
