Cheese!

Cheese stand at the Slow Food fair in Bra

Bra, a small town in the Piedmont province of Cueno, is considered the birthplace of Slow Food.
Here, in 1986, the journalist Carlo Petrini founded the Association for the Preservation of Food Culture, which today has around 100,000 members.
It is also the venue of the international cheese market organized by Slow Food.

Show cooking at the Slow Food cheese market in Bra

Every two years, hundreds of cheese producers from all over the world meet at the event to present the best cheeses and dairy products to visitors on 3000 square metres of exhibition space.
There will be conferences and workshops - not only on cheese, but also on other Slow Food topics.

Commented tastings of dairy products will be on the programme, as well as cooking courses for children. Well-known Italian and international chefs will invite you to dinner at the Albergo d Agenzia in Pollenzo - or you can glide through the more than 30 taste stations of the festival.
